The most popular PSP RPG in Japan these days seem to be the Monster Hunter series.  I use to own Monster Hunter Freedom, but I loaned that to Craig.  I think that’s gone.  I still have Monster Hunter Freedom 2, but I just don’t seem to have the time to play it anymore.  If it wasn’t for the co-op, I don’t think I would still have this game.  But I haven’t played any co-op on the PSP since last year, it seems like.

This summer, a new co-op RPG is coming to Japan, Phantasy Star Portable.  Will this title hit our shores in the States?  I know I’m looking forward to it.

On a related note, I’ve finally gotten the PSP from Craig.  He didn’t give me MHF with it but he also hasn’t found the box yet so it may still show up.  I did get MHF2 and Battlefront (along with the ATV game and the movie).  That said, give me a little time to familiarize myself with MHF2 and we’ll have to start meeting up to play it like your original intention was back at the Frag when you gave the system to Craig.

I know that you and Trifuse both were in on that proposed group but I forget who the fourth member of the group was...  Dragon or Kal?  If so, we’re good to go since we all meet up all the time anyhow.  We’ll just have to find a location that has open wi-fi.

The PSP is my RPG machine since the 360 doesn’t have a lot of good ones. Lost Odyssey is the best one. I’ve played FF VII Crisis Core and am in the process of playing on hard difficulty. I rented Brave Story: The New Travler from Gamefly and liked it so much I ordered it from half.com. I’ve also played Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth so I’ve got quite a few RPG’s under my belt from the PSP.

I am looking forward to playing MH2 locally again! I pulled my copy from the vault a few days ago and have been playing it ever since...
