The combat seems like a bit of an improvement, but I cannot get over how much that looks like Spider-Man 3. To be honest, part of me thinks they just have the combat for Web running on the SM3 engine or something.
I noticed the same thing, looks like SM 3 with tweaked game play.
I personally think that out of all the Spiderman games, Ultimate Spiderman on the PS2 was the most fun to play. The controls felt natural.
