Don’t know if any of our fellow achievement hunters have attempted this one yet, but this is the grandaddy of all acheivements for difficulty. I’ve done some difficult stuff but this is really something. Almost gave up on the Mission 1 and Mission 4 bosses but beat them eventually. This game gives a new meaning to Extreme!!
EDIT: Posted this in the achievement forum because only someone looking for "Extreme Solider" (150gs) would attempt this. Trust me, you’d have to be half crazy to try this "for fun" lol
I suppose I’d rather have an obscenely hard but conceivably obtainable achievement as opposed to a clearly obtainable but unbelievably time consuming one(like the Valor medals in Chromehounds, Rank 10 in GTA IV, top of leaderboards in GRAW, the various ~10k kill achievements).
Sometimes I think developers are just putting in those achievements just to mess with completion rates.
Well I did it but I didn’t get all the target marks on the last 5 missions so if I want the last 50 points out of this game, I’ll have to redo those missions on Extreme and use the guide for that. Wow not sure if I’m up for that. lol
I know, double post but there is a lot of time between them. lol I decided to wrap this game as a proper gamer wouldn’t let this sit at 950 when the last 50 points is well within their means. ;) Since I’m now an expert at Lost Planet, I’m going through the missions again in Normal then Hard mode to get all the target marks (gotta love collectables) The game seems like cake now after playing on Extreme. As of this post I’m on mission 5 and working all the way to mission 11. I’ll have the 1000 as all the hard stuff is behind me, I’ll challenge anyone here to attain the feat of Master Pioneer which is the toughest achievement I’ve ever went after. ;) Just wish the name was a little cooler than that.
