I dont have it, but I want it. Unfortunately for me, Father’s Day didn’t end up being all about my new bright and shiny PS3. I have a few friends that have the game and they haven’t put it down yet. I’ve been hearing that Kojima really outdid himself this time with the game, but I cant speak from personal experience

I have heard good things about it also... I am going to rent it.  I was never a fan of the series to be honest.  But this one I might have to check out.

For me, it came out too close to GTA 4.  I’m still fighting my way through that beast to tackle MGS 4.  Why couldn’t the space it just a little bit more?  Or wait until November when I have more time since it’s cold.

I know Gambit beat the game last night, he seemed to really enjoy the single player, though he hadn’t touched the online as of last night.

Geez, he must have some serious time on his hands or it’s not a very big game.  How many hours to complete it?

He said around 17 hours. It seems like he really crammed in some serious play time.

Wow, for a game that boasts using all of the disk, plus more, 17 doesn’t seem that long.  But maybe the action moves quickly.  Games like GTA or FF seem to be full of repetitve elements which eat time.

From what I’ve heard, you can marathon your way through the game pretty quickly, but you’ll miss cool little touches in the game. A buddy of mine said he literally wasted almost an hour just playing around with the Octo cam... little robot camera thing you get. Plus, I’ve heard inclusions of things like iPods, PSPs and such in the game that are interactive with Snake. From what I understand, you can get as involved or uninvolved in the game outside of the story as you wish. My friend is a pretty harsh critic on games and he said he’d give this one a perfect 10.

Bah, don’t get me started on the product placement.
