Couple of years ago I took out my retirement after leaving my job.  I was penalized for taking it out early, and taxes were taken out.  This year while doing our taxes the lady doing them stated I needed to pay more so I did.   About a month ago we received a letter saying we owed more money.... from what I can tell they are claiming I owe more on the money I took out. 

I am being taxed three times ?  So yeah, we are going to fight it and are getting in touch with our tax person.   Anyway, I was supposed to get a Wii with that "stimulus check"  We never received one, and from what I know they already came out ?  So we are guessing they held it due to this B.S.

yeah, I didn’t think they would touch that.  I also know its a mistake on their part as like I said, I already paid ALOT of taxes on the money... twice. 

any money you owe will be deducted from that.  I know that for a fact, as they did it to me.  I got what was left over.

gulp .... ouch ....yea h they will certainly claim that until you get a settlement

Yeah they will def take it, that being said if you went to H&R Block or Jackson Hulet (chell speck) and had fee withheld or got a refund anticipation check then you will be getting a paper check from the IRS.

They are going my the last two of your social and the schedule they have on their site is no longer correct as they have moved most of those dates forward but didn’t release any new info to anyone concerning this.

Not sure how much your retirement was but $4000 on top of the money you have already paid sounds like BS to me and it is good you are fighting it. If you have a good tax person she may even be able to find a way to get you a bit of cash back, I have someone with almost a similar case and the IRS said he owed something like an extra $2500...I went over everything with him and got it down to about $340 he owed instead.

How much did you pull from the retirement??  Shouldn’t be more than 30% taxes on that, I’ve never heard of paying more than that.  Anyways for the Stimulus check, I just got mine today in the mail, heard it was based on your social security number so not sure when you’re supposed to get yours.
