Here is a quick and easy guide to getting the "One Man Army" achievement in GTA 4.


BEFORE you have unlocked the FINAL city.

1. Go to a main bridge that is leading toward the final LOCKED city, in a vehicle. It is blocked by a police barricade.

2. Do a U-turn so your vehicle’s boot/rear is facing the cops.

3. Set a GPS map marker on the nearest internet cafe.

4. Staying in the ready position, shoot at the cops behind you, after a couple of seconds a 6 star wanted level will appear automatically.

5. Drive straight to the internet cafe and go inside.

6. Once inside have you’re gun ready.

The cops will all drive to the door way, covering it and blocking themselves out. Then you can just sit there and wait for the achievement.

That’s one way to do it.  You can also jump in a boat and just drive around to an island that isn’t unlocked to get it.  ;)

i jacked a helicopter. for some reason when your flying over a city you havent unlocked the police helicopters fly way below you and you can just hover high above the city with no fear

The way i got it was pretty epic...

Since I had already unlocked all three buroughs, doing it the easy way was out of the question. What I did was go to Francis Intl Airport, jacked a heli (so that my wanted level would automatically be bumped to 4 stars). I made sure I had full ammo and armorand flew to Happiness Island and landed by the feet of the statue. From there, I proceeded to snipe all police officers/NOOSE guys across the river, and shot down any helicopters that came near me. I also discovered that there can only ever be 2 active police helis at a time after you. The way you keep them from coming back and harassing you is by sniping the pilot. By doing that, the heli wont get destroyed, and the game will think that chopper is still actively pursuing you. By that point I had obtained 6 stars, and the achievement, so I decided to check out the Heart of the city everyone was talking about before plummeting to my death 80 feet below, lol.
