Though I still like gaming, I loved it when Sega was in the business. I grew up on the Genesis. Saturn may be my favorite system ever. I was playing Dreamcast in High School and talking to Seaman rather than going to prom... My videogame fanaticism died with the Dreamcast, and I still play those systems more than anything else(the others are just diversions. Somehow I missed out on the Game Gear though and ordered one recently. Someone gave me a Game Boy so I was playing Zelda: Links Awakening all the time(which I gotta admit is my favorite handheld game ever). I also recently ordered a CDX but haven’t gotten it yet. I want to play some Sonic CD as it was made(I’ve played it on PC and Gamecube, but it never felt right with the controls). If only Sega still made systems... it’s possible I’d still love gaming. But then, I’d probably have even less of a life! (now thinking of memories of Sonic, Phantasy Star IV, Dragon Force, Shenmue, and oh so many more...)

I too think something is missing without Sega making hardware anymore. I loved them since the Master System. I’m such a dork I named one of my cats Sega!

Haha that’s awesome! Sadly I have never gotten a Master System either. I’ve thought about it. Or getting a Power Base Converter... but somehow I think I’d want the full system.

I had every Sega System except the 32X expansion.. if you can, find a Sega Nomad.. nothing better then Genesis games made portable.  You would have to find the extra battery pack and plug in as the batteries die QUICK.... but one of the best hand helds ever.

Nomad is cool; never bought one though. The Master System had some really really good games and you didn’t have to give the cartridges a blowjob like the NES ones lol....and the best part about naming the cat Sega is when he’s getting into something I can yell "Sega!"....

I had a Gensis, but sold it a few years ago, (not sure why)

I really wish I hadn’t sold it tho, Sonic was amazing...

My Genesis was the first system I had an enormous library for, and the first system that I really became a true gamer on. I remember the first time I got Streets of Rage 2, my brother and I spent literally an entire day just doing the story mode on Normal, and then Hard. Its still to this day my favorite game of all time.

I remember bringing my Genesis home to play the included game Altered Beast.  I loved Ghouls N’ Ghost or Ghost n Goblins.

Man I used to play Streets of Rage 2 with my brother and sister all the time. It’s the game that came with it. It was also the first game I ever owned. Now one of my nieces really likes it and we play it now and then. It’s really the only game of that type I ever really liked other than Guardian Heroes which is different in my opinion. I still enjoyed the first SoR though but it’s not quite as awesome when you’ve played the sequel first.

My all time favorite Genesis game is Shinning Force. If you did not play it, it was like Final Fantasy tactics. I had a game gear and loved it but I was young and sold it for cash. Wish I had kept that thing. Nice thing now though is you can download a lot of old Sega games on the Wii. I actually down loaded Shinning Force a couple of months ago.
