I also had another thread on the old VGA forum where I dsicussed select 360 downloads.  I say select because I don’t review everything.  Mainly demos and trailers, but I have reviewd even videos.  If y’all don’t mind I like to contine this thread here.

demo out on Bourne Conspiracy

Are your ready young Grasshopper?  Have you mastered Dragon, Mantis, Tiger, and Crane?  Now it’s time to master Panda style.  The demo is on LIVE now.  The game has slight RPG elements in boosting stats.  The controls and camera movements is similar to Dynasty Warriors.  It is also slightly a platformer, and the game seems pretty linear.  I love the Jack Black narrative...too funny.  I recommend this kids for kids all ages.  Especially for those fans of Jade Empire and Dynasty Warriors, and Kung-fu cinema.  I can’t wait to play more of this time when it its released.  I don’t think it wil have any multiplayer, but I’m willing to Go Panda!

I had high hopes for this, but alas it’s a mediocre game based on a great book and and awesome movie.  The demo is in three phases.  Running, Shooting, and Driving.  It seems like the game engine is a cross between GEARS and Indigo Phrophecy.  It’s extremely linear and I feel as though Bourne isn’t as bad-ass as he should be.  The melee combat takes too long.  It’s only a two button combo.  The shooting isn’t that great either.  It’s very similar to Gears, but not quite.  Bourne can switch from left to right shoulder view by clicking in the right thumbstick.  Specialized combat moves is like copying the on screen directions as in Indigo Prophecy.  Cut scenes are cool, but I feel like I’m just playing along.  During combat, I had a hard time controlling the camera angles.  I guess it’s a decent game, but I don’t see how it’s going to compete with GTA IV.  Try the demo for yourself, but I think I’ll pass on renting this game.

Across the pond, in Japan, there is a new, very detailed trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam:  Operation Troy.  Here in the States, they are changing the title to MSG:  The One Year War.  If you have an opportuniy to check this out, I recommend it.  There will be customization, single player, and multiplayer.  I believe it will be more arcady than Chromehounds, and the graphics look a little cartoony.  Heck it’s based off Anime.  I am really impressed with c-o-c-k-p-i-t (I had to hyphenate the word because the automated spell check blocks the word out thinking its and offensive work: "****pit"...LOL...go figure) view of the mech.  I am looking forward to an English trailer, and possible demo soon.

Gamo has posted the trailer somehwere in the forum here, but you can download the trailer from LIVE in glorious HD now.  And this download is a must.  I don’t want to give you any too many spoilers excepts that there are new weapons, new combat moves, and new enemies.  I won’t say anything more.  Dowload the trailer now.  It’s a moral imperative!

OK, I saw the trailer for Gears 2 on gamertrailers TV and I watched it two more times on gametrailers.com. I saw new moves and new weapons but I did not see any new enemies. I have not downloaded it from Live since I disconnected my Xbox 360 to hook up my saturn the other day.
