I think the PS3 is doing way better than the Wii, as far as third party titles. The Wii can’t get a decent game other than what Nintendo can produce. I found the article"Nintendo’s Software Problem" in Game Informer Magazine, June 2008, to be very interesting.
And exclusives are coming with MG4, LittleBigPlanet, and Resistance.
As a side note, I think exclusive titles are going to be a thing of the past, or at least very rare. It seems third party developers want to offer their work to as many people as possible (and that’s also just sound business practice). Meaning, no more third party console exclusive games. Console exclusive titles will probably only come from the console companies themselves. So our generation, who grew up in the Nintendo vs. Sega years, expect pretty much every game to be exclusive for our particular system. But now, the line dividing different console software is thinner. It is often a foriegn experiance when I see a commercial of a cool game and at the bottom of the screen, it shows availability for Sony and Xbox. That would have never happened years ago. Which is why a lot of thrid companies died or got swallowed up by big, multi-console developers.
